AWC accepts most insurance plans (see below) or we offer a cash reduction for patients who do not have insurance. Out-of-pocket fees for abortion services are determined by several factors including: method of abortion, length of pregnancy, anesthesia choice, and blood type.

Our fees for abortion services are comprehensive. Counseling, lab work, ultrasound, medications, and a follow-up exam will be included in the price you are quoted for your procedure. Please call the office for details. One of AWC's telephone counselors will be happy to provide you with an estimate tailored to your specific needs.

Insurance:
Many insurance policies cover abortion services. Often, we can arrange for your carrier to pay us directly. Otherwise, we can give you an itemized bill that you can submit for reimbursement. AWC participates with the following carriers:

Note: Pennsylvania Medical Assistance (Access, Aetna Better Health, Amerihealth Mercy, CHIP, Gateway, Keystone Mercy & United Health Care Community Plan) does not cover abortion services. Exceptions may be made in cases of sexual assault or if the pregnant woman's life is in danger. See below for information about financial assistance.

We may accept other insurance plans with pre-verification. Not all insurance plans cover abortion services. Dependent upon your plan, you may or may not need a referral from your primary care physician or OB/GYN.

Discounts & Financial Assistance:
Students: AWC offers a $20 reduction for any patient who is not receiving funding and presents a current school ID or report card at the time of payment.

Financial Assistance: As a member on the National Abortion Federation, AWC is able to offer funding to low-income patients. By answering a few questions about your household income, one of AWC's telephone counselors can determine if you are eligible. Discounts of up to 40% can be given to patients living below the poverty line with no obligation to repay the funds.

Payment in full is expected at the time of service.
AWC accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and debit cards.

We prefer that you do not pay with cash. We do not accept personal checks.
