A note about protesters: During the week, there will be approximately 4-6 protesters walking back and forth outside of our entrance and around our parking lot, and about 10-20 protesters on Saturdays. Protesters arrive around 7:45am and leave between 9:00 and 11:00am. Protesters are NOT allowed to enter our parking lot or our building.
Allentown Women's Center prefers that all patients be dropped off at our main entrance door (in the rear of our building), which will avoid any interraction with protesters. Otherwise, patients and their support persons are advised to look for AWC Escorts who will be stationed in the parking lot or at the main entrance. Escorts wear bright yellow safety vests with "AWC Escort" written on them. Escorts will walk you to the door.
Protesters at AWC are not violent, although some do shout and carry graphic signs. Protesters can be harassing and intimidating. Some protesters may try to force you to take literature, so it is best to walk with escorts around you. Since AWC provides many services, keep in mind that the protesters will not know why you are entering our building -- your confidentiality is assured.
From 22E:
Take Airport Rd. South Exit.
Bear right onto Airport Rd. South.
At the 5th light turn left onto Union Blvd.
From 22W:
Take Airport Rd. South Exit.
At the 6th light turn left onto Union Blvd.
ONCE ON UNION BLVD:
Go 4/10 of a mile and turn left immediately after McDonald's onto a small road called Nelson Street (it may not be marked).
Our parking lot is fenced in up on the right side of Nelson Street. To enter, go 1 1/2 blocks to Livingston Street and make a right. The entrance to the parking lot is immediately on the right. Park close to the building and look for the pedestrian gate to cross the street into the building.
Our building is burgundy and our name is on the building.

Note: If you plan to drop a patient off at the entrance door, after McDonald's, make a right onto Keats Street, drop the patient at the door then make a right onto Plymouth Street, then right at the light onto Union Blvd., and then right at McDonald's to come back around to the lot.
From the City of Bethlehem
378 North - Exit 2E - Eighth Ave. North
2nd light make LEFT onto Eaton Ave.
Go through 1 stop sign then 5 lights
Eaton Ave. will merge with Union Blvd.
Turn RIGHT onto Nelson Street, the small street before McDonald's. Follow directions above.
